PHILADELPHIA  – The La Salle women's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to five games as the Explorers hammered the George Washington Revolutionaries, 3-1 on Sunday afternoon. Three different Explorers found the back of the net, including Haley Gschrey who scored her eighth goal of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Haley Gschrey and Sunni DiEmlo fired shots off in the first few minutes as La Salle began the game on the attack.
• In the 16^th minute, DiElmo scored off a pass from Elizabeth Estrada to put the Explorers up, 1-0.
• Only three minutes later, Gschrey piled on another goal to extend the lead to two goals.
• La Salle kept on the offensive with the next four shot attempts, but three of the four were blocked.
• Explorers keeper, Michela Auguadro stamped her name on the game with two saves in short order.
• After another volley of shot attempts from the Explorers, Alexis Garcia scored the third of the half for La Salle off a pass from Olivia Vricella in the 40^th minute. La Salle carried the advantage into the half.
• La Salle began the second half with three straight shots on goal saved by the Revolutionaries.
• After a couple of balls were sailed over the crossbar by the Explorers, GW earned its first goal of the contest in the 56^th minute.
• Neither side was able to generate much offense as the game wound on. Auguadro saved the only shot on target in the next 25 minutes of game time. La Salle took the win, 3-1.

GAME NOTES

• La Salle dominated the game, outshooting GW, 23-8.
• Gschrey's eighth goal ties her total from last season, also the team-high.
• Auguadro made five saves.
