AUSTIN, Texas - The La Salle women's basketball team fell at the No. 6 Texas Longhorns, 111-49 on Tuesday night in Austin. Texas is the first ranked opponent the Explorers have faced since 2017 when Villanova was ranked 20
th in the nation.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Explorers kept things close in the first quarter, trailing 19-12 thanks to six takeaways.
- The Longhorns dominated the second frame, outscoring La Salle 38-9 to take a 57-21 advantage into the half.
- Texas kept its foot on the gas, holding the Explorers to single digits again in the third quarter.
- La Salle scored 20 points in the fourth quarter, with 17 off the bench.
