PRINCETON, N.J. – The La Salle water polo team (6-3) looks to build on the second-best start in program history this weekend at the Princeton Invitational. La Salle, who themselves received votes in the top 25 for the second consecutive week, will play No. 22 San Diego State and No. 20 Harvard on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle has earned its second-best record through nine games in program history, only the 2021 Covid season had a better mark.
- The Explorers earned a 3-1 record last weekend at the Bucknell Invitational, with the lone defeat coming at the hands of No. 18 Wagner.
- La Salle opened the weekend by hammering Mercyhurst, 13-3. The Explorers proceeded to take down Mount Saint Mary's, 10-7, and defeated previously 8-1 Villanova, 9-8.
- Francesca Co' leads La Salle in goals (24), assists (11), and points (35).
- Martina Bonet Saez ranks second on the team in both goals and points, with 16 and 23, respectively. The freshman was named La Salle Athlete of the Week following her 11-goal performance over the weekend.
SCOUTING #22 SAN DIEGO STATE:
- San Diego State is 5-4 on the season, with all four losses coming against teams with a top 13 ranking including No. 1 USC and No. 4 Hawaii.
- The Aztecs most recently faced No. 12 Long Beach State and Cal State Monterey Bay in back-to-back last Saturday. They dropped to Long Beach State 16-9 and trounced Cal State Monterey Bay, 18-3.
- The contest will begin on Friday, Feb. 17 at 6:30 p.m.
SCOUTING #20 HARVARD:
- Harvard and La Salle met on February 4th at the Bruno Classic, with the Crimson taking the game, 9-8 on a goal with two seconds remaining on the clock.
- Harvard has played just one match since then, taking down Marist 14-8. The squad is 2-2 on the year, with wins over Indiana and Wagner.
- The match will begin on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 9:30 a.m.
