Women's & Men's Rowing Return to Schuylkill for Kerr Cup on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle men's and women's rowing teams are back in action on Saturday morning, as they take to the Schuylkill River for the Kerr Cup Regatta. Racing is set to begin at 9:00 a.m.

ABOUT THE EXPLORERS

Both teams are coming off impressive showings at Knecht Cup last weekend.
The women's varsity eight narrowly missed out on advancing to the grand final, but did finish ahead of all five Atlantic 10 schools that also competed in the race.
The men's varsity and second varsity eight took home gold medals at Knecht Cup, the first time the Explorers have done that in the 25-year history of the event.
La Salle defeated No. 23 Temple & No. 24 Colgate in the grand final of the varsity eight, and defeated Trinity, the No. 2-ranked team nationally at the D2/D3 level.
This week's competitors on the men's side include No. 16 Drexel, Saint Joseph's, Villanova, Rutgers, George Washington, and Bucknell.
On the women's side, the Explorers are joined by Temple, Drexel, Jefferson, Iona, Loyola (Md.), Old Dominion, Fairfield, and Monmouth.
