Men's Soccer Comes Home to Start Three-Game Homestand

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's soccer team returns home to start a three-game homestand at McCarthy Stadium beginning this Tuesday night against Rider University. The game will kick off at 6:00 p.m.
 
The game will be streamed on ESPN+. It can also be followed on X @LaSalle_MSOC and on Instagram @lasalle_msoc.
 
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • La Salle comes home after a two-game road trip, with its last game resulting in a 0-0 draw to Quinnipiac last Saturday.
  • Colin Beasley and Michael Chiha led the team with two shots each.
  • The Explorers went down to 10 men in the 82nd minute after a red card on Nevin Baer.
  • Tino Kneis, starting in goal for the fourth straight game, made four saves overall, including two in the last five minutes of the game.
  • The Explorers had 10 shots throughout the game, with four on goal.
 
SCOUTING THE BRONCS:
  • Rider enters Tuesday's game with a record of 4-2-0, coming off a 2-1 home win last Saturday against NJIT.
  • In that game, Momo Diop scored the game-winning goal, and Bryan Akongo recorded two assists.
  • Diop has been very effective on the attacking end, scoring a team-leading four goals on his five shots on goal this season
  • For goalkeeping, Adam Salama has played all six games this season, saving 21 shots so far.
