SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- The Explorers are coming off of their first loss of the season Monday against the Villanova Wildcats and will look to rebound against a conference opponent.
- La Salle was held to a season low in shots and shots on goal against Villanova, eight and three respectively.
- The Blue & Gold defense will be looking to stand firm against the Eagles, as Villanova was able to score two goals, something an opposing school has yet to do against La Salle this season.
- There is a four-way tie for goal leaders on the team, starting with Zhao Rodrigo, who leads the team in points with six.
- Shea Burns, Gabrielle LaCroix, and Sofia Pla also sit with two goals going into conference play.
- Malena Balduzzi has the top spot on the assist list this season. The senior Argentine has helped on three goals so far this year.
- Abby Boggs has started every game in goal for the Explorers and enters tomorrow with an .838 save percentage. She has six goals allowed and 31 saves through six games.
SCOUTING THE BALD EAGLES:
- Lock Haven enters conference play with a 1-5 overall record. Their opening six games featured two ranked opponents in Syracuse and Maryland.
- The lone win for Lock Haven came in a shootout against Colgate 4-3. The win over Colgate was the bets offensive performance for the Bald Eagles on the year.
- They have totaled six goals entering tomorrow, scoring at least one goal in each of their last four games after being held scoreless in their first two contests.
- Sophomore Melanie Beall leads Lock Haven with two goals scored this season and four points.
- Kelsey Felix has been the starting net minder in five of the six games played and enters with a .549 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE OWLS:
- The Cherry & White enter the weekend at 2-3 overall, but will have played one contest before the match up with La Salle. Temple will face #14 UConn on the road tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
- The Owls are on a three-game skid against some tough opponents. The losing streak started against #3 Virginia in a 7-0 loss, followed by a 3-2 loss in overtime to the Richmond Spiders.
- Temple then took on Penn this past Friday and fell to the Quakers 3-1. The first two games of the season were big offensive performances for Temple as they outscored their two opponents by a combined score of 13-0.
- The leading scorers for the Owls are Halle Aschenbach and Devin Kinzel, each with three goals this season.
- Alex Lepore has made four of the five starts in net for Temple and has a .545 save percentage this season.
