PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team picked up its first conference win of the season Thursday with a 2-0 win over the Davidson Wildcats. Haley Gschrey and Alexis Garcia found the back of the net, for Garcia, it marks the first goal of her career.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• After a slow start, Justyce Hollenbach fired a shot on goal in the 12^th minute that was saved by the Davidson goalie.
• La Salle got the go-ahead goal two minutes later from Gschrey.
• Hollenbach fired two more shots on goal in a span of three minutes right after Gschrey's tally, but both were denied.
• The Explorers' keeper, Michela Auguadro, stepped up in the 28^th minute with a save to keep the lead.
• Sunni DiElmo had a shot low on goal in the 32^nd minute that was also smothered by the keeper.
• Garcia would add to La Salle's lead in the last minute of the first half. Bri Lewis and Kate Loncar set up the play, and Garcia's finish made it 2-0.
• Ricshya would try to make it 3-0 in the 52^nd minute, but her attempt was saved.
• Attempts from DiElmo and Gschrey in the 62^nd and 75^th minutes would also land on goal but neither could find the back of the net.
• In the final five minutes, Davidson would try to get the score within one, but Auguadro made saves on two successive shot attempts in the 85^th and 86^th minutes to make the 2-0 score final.

GAME NOTES

• Gschrey, who led the team in shots with five, scored her team-leading seventh goal in the 14^th minute.
• The team had a total of 20 shots, with five Explorers recording at least three shots.
• Auguadro made three saves and recorded her third clean sheet of the season. She now has 19 in her career.
