Auguadro Earns 20th Career Shutout; Women’s Soccer Draws Loyola, 0-0

PHILADELPHIA – La Salle women's soccer keeper Michela Auguadro became the second La Salle player in program history to record 20 career shutouts on Sunday afternoon as the Explorers tied the Loyola Chicago Ramblers, 0-0. The team has now earned a result in three straight conference games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Kameron Rase fired off the first shot of the game in the 5th minute. The attempt was corralled by the Loyola keeper.
  • A flurry of activity began with a pair of Rambler shots and concluded with a Loyola yellow card in minute 16.
  • As the half progressed, the sides exchanged shots. Michela Auguardro picked up where she left off after Sunday's shutout with her first save in 29th minute.
  • The teams went to the half, tied at zero.
  • Loyola Chicago began the second half on the offensive. Auguadro continued her strong play, with saves in the 58th and 60th minutes to keep the game locked at zero.
  • Auguadro continued to stand strong in goal, turning away her seventh shot of the contest in the 69th minute and her fifth in 73rd.
  • Justyce Hollenbach struck back with a dart aimed for the top of the net that was saved by Loyola Chicago.
  • Auguadro stopped her eighth shot of the game in the 78th minute. The Explorers returned fire in quick succession with a shot from Alexis Garcia.
  • Neither side mustered another shot on goal as time expired with the score reading, 0-0.
GAME NOTES
  • This is the first time this season that La Salle has recorded shutouts in back-to-back games.
  • Auguardro's eight saves is a season-high.
  • Loyola drew two yellow cards to La Salle's zero.
