Davidson, NC – The La Salle women's basketball team led 17-13 at the end of the first quarter, but it wasn't enough, as the Explorers fell 78-61 at Davidson on Thursday night.
With the loss, the Explorers drop to 1-2 in Atlantic 10 play, while the Wildcats improve to 2-0 in league action.
How it Happened:
- Both teams were knotted up at 7-7, but an 8-0 run gave the Explorers the early lead midway through the first quarter.
- Junior Anna Przyszlak led all scorers with seven points in the first quarter.
- The Explorers connected on 5-11 (45.5%) of field goal attempts and 6-7 (85.7%) of free throw attempts in the first period to take a 17-13 lead.
- The Wildcats answered, outscoring La Salle 20-11 in the second quarter to take a 33-28 lead at the midway mark.

- Junior Alisa Blalock led all scorers with eight points off the bench in the fourth quarter, as the Explorers hit on 7-12 (58.3%) of shots in the final period.
- The Wildcats outscored the Explorers 19-18 in the fourth quarter to preserve the victory.
