Philadelphia, PA — La Salle women's soccer earned a 2-0 shutout win over Fordham Thursday night at McCarthy Stadium. With the result, La Salle improves to 7-5-2 overall (4-2-1 A-10), while Fordham falls to 8-5-2 (3-3-1 A-10).
The Explorers got on the board early when sophomore forward Kameron Rase scored in the 6th minute off an assist from sophomore midfielder Ella Cadigan. Cadigan then doubled the lead in the 74th minute, finishing a setup from freshman forward Kayden Williams and sophomore defender Sienna Mount.
Senior goalie Mackenna Yaracs recorded seven saves to match a collegiate career high. She also earned her fourth clean sheet of the season, anchoring a defense that limited the Rams despite being outshot 19–8 and allowing nine corner kicks.
La Salle returns to action this Sunday on the road, playing Davidson at noon. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
