Davidson, N.C. — La Salle women's soccer fell 3–0 to Davidson on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Stadium. With the result, the Explorers move to 7–6–2 overall and 4–3–1 in Atlantic 10 play, while the Wildcats improve to 7–5–3 (3–3–2 A-10).
After a scoreless opening half, Davidson broke through in the 63rd minute when SJ Pak finished a setup from Dakota Lyons and Brooke Roumy. The Wildcats doubled their lead just seven minutes later as Savannah Pruitt converted off an assist from Sophia Whiddon. Lyons then added a goal of her own in the 80th minute, assisted by Pak, to cap the scoring.
The Explorers generated several opportunities throughout the match, recording 14 shots and putting eight shots on target. Freshman forward Kayden WIlliams and sophomore midfielder Ella Cadigan led La Salle with four shots apiece, while senior goalkeeper Mackenna Yaracs made five saves in net.
La Salle returns to action on Thursday, October 24, when it hosts VCU in its final regular-season home game.
