WASHINGTON, D.C. – La Salle men's cross country runner
Jacob Gardner has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
The freshman's time of 24:39.9 in the 8k run at the Princeton Fall Classic last Friday placed him 118th out of more than 300 runners. He was the second fastest finisher for the Explorers in the meet. This is the second time this season Gardner has been recognized as the A-10 Rookie of the Week, winning the award two weeks ago on October 7.
The men's cross country team will next compete in the Haverford Invitational on Friday, October 24, which starts at 4:15 pm.
