Johnstown, PA - On Tuesday, the La Salle University women's golf team concluded the Red Flash Invitational tournament at Sunnehanna Country Club with their strongest team-round of the season, so far, a 288 (+44).
The team finished in 10th place, shooting +111 across two days of competition. Sophomore
Samantha Song led the pack with an 80 (+8) her best round of the season to par. Senior
Nina Okenkova shot +11 on day two, including three birdies.
Freshman
Jewel Schaefer and senior
Hannah Gammons also each turned in quality rounds on day two, shooting a +13 and +12 respectively. Gammons was also the only Explorer to make birdie on day one of the tournament.
Senior
Sydnie Leavery rounded out the Explorers' efforts in Johnstown, shooting +39 in her first tournament of the 25-26 season.
With only one event remaining on the schedule, the Explorers will next be in action at the Lehigh Invitational at Trump National in Bedminster, NJ next weeekend.
