North East, PA - On Sunday and Monday, the La Salle women's golf team team participated in the Evann Parker Memorial at Lake View Country Club, placing sixth shooting +123 across two rounds of competition.

Sophomore Samantha Song led the way for the Explorers, shooting a +9 (81) on day one of the tournament. She placed T-11th. Junior Nina Okenkova and senior Hannah Gammons placed T-24th and 27th respectively. Gammons was one of two Explorers to make a birdie at the tournament. Freshmen Jewel Schaefer and Sarah Doherty rounded out the Blue and Gold's efforts, placing 30th and 35th. Schaefer is currently nominated for NovaCare Student Athlete of the Week honors for her efforts at the Autumn Harvest earlier this week.

The Explorers will take two weeks off before their next tournament at the Red Flash Invitational, hosted by Saint Francis at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, PA. The tournament will span two days beginning October 20.
