Bethlehem, PA – The La Salle Explorers women's basketball team kept its early‑season momentum rolling with an 81-70 win at Stabler Arena on Tuesday evening, improving to 3‑0 on the young season. Following a steady first half, the Explorers exploded for a 28-12 run in the third quarter on the backs of key shots from "The Big 3."
Junior Aryss Macktoon scored a game‑high 24 points (7/12 FG, 10/15 FT), grabbed 6 rebounds and tied a career-high with 8 steals. Redshirt‑junior Ashleigh Connor scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while raising her season three point percentage to 66.7%. Sophomore guard Joan Quinn added 20 points on efficient shooting with 2 rebounds and a steal.
La Salle controlled the paint, finishing with 38 points in the paint versus Lehigh's 26. The Explorers also shot a strong 49.1% from the field and 58.3% from three.
On the Lehigh side, senior Jessie Ozzauto scored 17, while Whitney Lind added 16 and Belle Bramer chipped in 14 points.
With the win, La Salle continues to build a strong early-season foundation and shows a balanced attack and defensive effort. The Explorers will look to carry this momentum into their next road trip to Big 5 foe, Temple on Friday. The game will begin at 11:00 AM and will be streamed on ESPN+.
