Philadelphia, PA - On Friday morning, the La Salle women's basketball team suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of the Temple Owls by a final score of 75-54. The loss snapped the Explorers' three-game winning streak, their longest to start a season since 2005-06.
Junior
Aryss Macktoon led the Explorers in points for the third time in four games, scoring 16 points and tallying four steals, remaining atop the Atlantic 10 steals leaderboard. Redshirt freshman
Kiara Williams led the way early, scoring a game-high seven first quarter points, including her first collegiate three-point basket.
In the fourth quarter, many freshmen were able to make an impact, as
Amiya Moses tallied a career-high four blocks while
Ava Hoy,
Charity Sawyer, and
India Webb each logged their first minutes in an Explorers uniform.Â
