Philadelphia, PA – The La Salle men's basketball team opened Big 5 play on Tuesday with a 90-63 loss at Temple.

Redshirt sophomore Rob Dockery led the Explorers with 11 points and eight rebounds, with graduate student Jerome Brewer Jr. adding 10 points.

The Owls jumped out to a quick lead and had a 42-29 advantage at the midway mark, before outscoring the Explorers 48-34 in the second half to move to 2-0 on the season. Temple shot 50% from the field and 50% from long range throughout the game to earn the win.

La Salle combined for 29 rebounds throughout the contest.

The Explorers will be back in action on Saturday against Big 10 member Penn State at Xfinity Mobile Arena, with tip-off set for 1:00 pm on Peacock.
