Philadelphia, PA – The La Salle men's basketball team fell 83-69 in the Basketball On Broad – Autumn Invitational at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Saturday.
The Explorers started strong, as a basket by graduate student
Jaeden Marshall and a three by senior
Damon Strand gave the Blue and Gold a 12-9 lead six and a half minutes into the contest.
The Nittany Lions answered with a 20-0 run and led 42-29 at the half. Both teams went back and forth in the second half, with Penn State outscoring La Salle 40-41 in the second period to earn the victory.
Graduate student
Jerome Brewer Jr. and freshman
Ashton Walker paced the Explorers with 13 points apiece, while Marshall and junior
Eric Acker added 11 points each.
La Salle held a 28-25 edge on the glass and converted 25-50 (50%) of field goal attempts on the day.
