Philadelphia, PA – The La Salle men's basketball team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 73-60 win over Monmouth on Saturday at John E. Glaser Arena. The win marks La Salle's sixth straight victory on homecoming.

Jaeden Marshall led the Explorers with 26 points, including 12-12 accuracy from the free throw line, with fellow graduate student
Josiah Harris adding 11 points and nine rebounds. In his first career start, freshman point guard
Ashton Walker dished out a team-high nine assists.
With the game knotted up at 35-35, Marshall beat the first half buzzer with a three to put the Explorers up 38-35 at the midway mark.

Damon Strand and consecutive baskets by Marshall and graduate student
Jerome Brewer Jr. gave La Salle a 58-50 lead with 4:32 to play.
After the Hawks scored the next three points, back-to-back buckets by Marshall and a three by Brewer gave the Blue and Gold their first double-digit lead of the game at 64-53 with 2:39 to play, as the Explorers sealed the win late.
La Salle held a 43-35 edge on the glass and attempted 28 free throws throughout the contest while holding the Hawks to 8-29 (27.6%) from the field in the second half.
The Explorers will open Big 5 play on Tuesday at Temple, with tip-off set for 7:00 pm.
