Philadelphia, PA – The La Salle women's basketball team kept its early-season momentum rolling with an 84–73 win over Saint Francis on Saturday afternoon at John E. Glaser Arena, improving to 2–0 on the young season.

The Explorers came out firing, opening the game with a 27-point first quarter behind sharp ball movement and active defense that forced early turnovers. Redshirt junior guard Ashleigh Connor led the way with 22 points, knocking down three triples and dishing out five assists. Sophomore Joan Quinn added 19 points, five rebounds, and a team-high five steals in another standout performance, while junior Aryss Macktoon followed up her 25-point performance at Loyola (MD) with 12 points and seven rebounds.

La Salle controlled the paint throughout the afternoon, outscoring the Red Flash 48–24 inside and converting 26 points off turnovers. The Explorers' depth also made an impact, with the bench contributing 20 points. The performance also marked the first time since January 2024 that La Salle has scored 70 or more points in back-to-back games.

For Saint Francis, Shelby Ricks paced the visitors with 15 points, while Aleah James and Sonia Sato each added 14.

After leading 40–31 at halftime, La Salle held off a third-quarter surge from Saint Francis and closed strong with a 22-point fourth quarter to secure the double-digit win.

The Explorers will look to stay perfect when they travel to Lehigh on Tuesday, November 11 at 6:00 PM. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
