Lacrosse Falls To Lehigh At Home

PHILADELPHIA – La Salle women's lacrosse fell to the Lehigh Mountain Hawks Saturday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium by a score of 16-3. With the loss, the team holds a record of 1-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Lehigh got on the board first with a goal 2:11 minutes int the game.
  • A minute later, junior Sam Klein scored to knot the game back up at one.
  • Within a span of 14 seconds, Lehigh got two goals to go up 3-1 with 9:23 left in the first quarter.
  • Redshirt junior Alana Lathan trimmed the deficit to one with a goal of her own at the six-minute mark.
  • With 3:14 remaining in the first, sophomore Kate Licciardi tied it back up with her finish.
  • The Mountain Hawks scored the final goal of the quarter with eight seconds left.
  • Throughout the remaining quarters, Lehigh built onto its lead with more goals, eventually reaching the final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • With her goal today, Klein matched a career high in goals in a season with three.
  • Junior Goalie Mary Babbage recorded 13 saves in the game, saving at least three in each quarter.
  • La Salle successfully cleared 16 out of its 18 attempts.
