PHILADELPHIA – La Salle women's lacrosse competed against the George Washington Revolutionaries Saturday afternoon in its Morgan's Message game.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The visitors scored the opening goal 1:32 into the game, before redshirt junior Alana Lathan knotted the score at one with 12:11 left in the first.
• George Washington recorded the final goals of the quarter to start out with an early lead.
• In the second quarter, the Revolutionaries added some more goals to the scoring sheet. La Salle's junior attacked Emi Waldron scored the Explorers' lone goal in the frame.
• After making 10 saves in the first half, sophomore goalie Brooke Nelson made four saves in the third quarter, holding the visitors to just one goal in the opening 10 minutes of the new half.
• Lathan notched her second goal of the game 12:36 into the third.
• She would then get her hat trick with 7:44 to go in the game, before the visitors scored the final three goals to reach the completed scoreline.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• The Blue and Gold was clinical in its clears, successfully clearing it 15 out of 16 times.
• Draw controls were eight to seven in favor of the visitors.
• Lathan's hat trick today was the third this season for her and the second consecutive game this season.
