Philadelphia, PA -Â The La Salle women's basketball team dropped a hard-fought Atlantic 10Â matchup on Saturday afternoon, falling to Saint Joseph's 69-60 at Michael J. Hagan Arena.
After trailing by as many as 15 points in the second quarter, the Explorers mounted an impressive comeback coming out of halftime. La Salle outscored the Hawks 24-8 in the third quarter on the back of three Joan Quinn three-pointers, the third of the three coming at the third quarter buzzer, giving the Explorers their first lead of the game.
Junior Aryss Macktoon led all scorers with 19 points, finishing 7-for-15 from the field while adding five rebounds and a pair of assists. Her three steals puts her season-total at 59, extending her lead on the rest of the Atlantic 10.

Ashleigh Connor also reached double figures with 10 points and three assists, while redshirt freshman
Kiara Williams chipped in 10 points and a team-high five rebounds before fouling out late in the fourth quarter.
Saint Joseph's regained control in the fourth quarter, opening the frame on a decisive run and sealing the contest at the free throw line down the stretch.
La Salle will return home for back-to-back Atlantic 10 contests with Saint Louis and Davidson on Wednesday and Saturday respectively. Wednesday's game against Saint Louis will be played at 11:00 AM, as the Explorers celebrate Kid's Day.
