This Week In La Salle Athletics: Men’s Basketball, Swimming and Diving Compete At Home

Here is a look of the action to come this week for La Salle Athletics, brought to you by Hershey's Ice Cream.   
 
Men's Basketball 
  • The Explorers finish out a two-game homestand on Wednesday when Dayton comes to 20th and Olney with tip-off set for 6:30 pm. It will be First Responders Night at John E. Glaser Arena.  
  • Last week, La Salle took down St. Bonaventure, 78-74, before the home crowd off the strength of Jerome Brewer Jr.'s perfect day, shooting 9-of-9 from the field and 6-of-6 at the line in a 27-point explosion. La Salle shot a perfect 20-of-20 from the stripe in the victory to rebound from a 74-53 loss on the road at Richmond last Wednesday. Jaeden Marshall poured in 41 points combined in both games last week, including five three-pointers in the Saturday victory.

Women's Basketball 
  • The Explorers will hit the road next week for conference games at Loyola Chicago on Wednesday at 7:00 pm and at St. Bonaventure on Saturday at 3:00 pm. 
  • Last week in the loss against Saint Louis, redshirt junior Ashleigh Connor scored a career-high 25 points.

Swimming and Diving 
  • The swim and dive team compete in separate meets during the week, with the men traveling to Penn on Thursday and the women competing at Rutgers on Friday. Both meets will start at 5:00 pm. 
  • La Salle swim and dive will celebrate Senior Day in its final home meet of the season, competing against Fordham at noon Saturday.

Track & Field 
  • Explorers track & field teams travel to New York City to compete in the Dr. Sander Scorcher, a two-day meet that starts Friday morning. 
  • In last week's meet at the Ott Center, junior Charlie Rogers won the men's 3k with a time of 8:22.86.
