PHILADELPHIA, PA – La Salle men's basketball redshirt sophomore guard Rob Dockery was named Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, following back-to-back 25-point performances against Fordham and Saint Joseph's last week.
In the victory against Fordham last Wednesday, Dockery led the Explorers with 25 points, including 11-for-12 from the free throw line and a career-best two blocks, capping his night with game-sealing free throws in the final seconds.
Against Saint Joseph's last Saturday, Dockery delivered his sixth 20+ point performance of the season, finishing with a game-high 25 points while adding seven rebounds. It also marked his fourth game with 25 or more points this season. All six of Dockery's 20+ point performances this season have occurred during A-10 play.
In his last five games, Dockery is averaging 21.8 points and 7.6 rebounds. He is also shooting 81.8% (44-of-54) from the free-throw line during that span.
Dockery currently ranks sixth in the A-10 in free throws made (114), sixth in steals (48), seventh in steals per game (1.6), ninth in rebounds (186), and rounds out the top 25 in points per game (11.8).
