Fairfax, VA - The La Salle women's basketball team suffered its first Atlantic 10 loss of the season on Wednesday, falling to George Mason 62-47.
The Patriots led the Explorers wire-to-wire, despite an impressive first half from junior Aryss Macktoon. The Baltimore, MD native scored 14 first half points, including her fourth and fifth three-pointers of the season. She finished the contest with a team-high 17 points to go along with five rebounds and a game-high five steals, further separating herself from the rest of the Atlantic 10 on the individual steals leaderboard.
Redshirt-junior Ashleigh Connor chipped in ten points of her own, while sophomore Joan Quinn made three shots in as many attempts for eight points in the contest.
La Salle will continue their road trip on Saturday with a short trip to Saint Joseph's. Despite the loss in their last trip to Hawk Hill, then-freshman Joan Quinn rallied for a career-high 23 points on 17 shots. Quinn and the Explorers will look to get back in the win column in the afternoon contest.
