Annapolis, MD – Triathlon finished eighth out of ten teams at the Navy Collegiate Cup at the United States Naval Academy on Sunday, posting a team score of 133.
Freshman
Vic Medina Quintero led the Explorers, placing 17th overall with a time of 1:01:46.3. Medina Quintero posted an 8:33 on the opening run and closed with an 18:22 on the final run, a 5:55 per mile pace.
Freshman
Riley Perry placed 32nd in 1:03:14.9. Perry tied for the third-fastest bike split of the race, riding 33:23 at 21.2 mph.
Freshman
Dylan Volk finished 38th in 1:04:07.5, with a 34:10 bike and a 19:56 on the final run.
Freshman
Candace Socito came in 51st at 1:07:03.7, and Graduate Student
Gabriela Herbreder followed in 54th at 1:10:38.0, closing with a 22:01 run.
Sophomore
Luciana Ruiz Serrano placed 57th in 1:14:12.1, followed by Freshman
Joshelle Cabriana in 59th at 1:15:32.2. Sophomore
Averi Duncan finished 60th in 1:17:43.3, and Sophomore
Beth Eldredge crossed the line 61st in 1:20:23.9.
The Explorers are set to return to action at NCAA East Regionals in Lake Lanier, GA on Saturday, October 17th.
