WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The La Salle women's lacrosse team (1-1) fell 16-6 to Monmouth (2-0) on Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference matchup at Kessler Stadium.
Senior attacker Emi Waldron led the team with a hat trick, while senior goalkeeper Mary Babbage registered 15 saves in goal. Auria Mullins anchored the draw circle with six draws, and Bri McClain and Mia Riccitelli each added a goal as La Salle stayed competitive through the first half.

Monmouth took control after the break, scoring four unanswered goals in the third quarter and holding La Salle scoreless. The Hawks continued their strong run into the fourth quarter, building a double-digit lead before Riccitelli found the net late.
La Salle showed determination in the opening half, responding to Monmouth's early lead with two quick goals from Waldron to take a brief advantage in the first quarter. McClain notched a man-up goal off a feed from Sam Klein to draw even at 5-5 late in the second quarter. Babbage kept the Explorers in contention with several key saves, as the team entered halftime tied with the Hawks.
