PHILADELPHIA, PA – The La Salle men's basketball team (8-20, 4-11 A-10) fell to a highly efficient George Washington squad (16-12, 7-8 A-10), falling 104-77 in Atlantic 10 action Tuesday night at John E. Glaser Arena.
Redshirt sophomore guard Rob Dockery finished with a game-high 25 points, seven rebounds and six steals.
Freshman guard Ashton Walker continued his strong play with 13 points and six rebounds, including 3-for-5 from 3-point range.
Graduate guard Truth Harris added 13 points, a season-high 4-for-4 effort at the line, and led La Salle with five assists.
La Salle opened the game with energy, grabbing a 12-10 lead following early free throws for its largest advantage of the night. George Washington quickly countered, seizing momentum behind hot shooting and closing the first half on a run that gave the visitors a 45-35 lead at the break.
George Washington shot a staggering 67.2% from the field (39-for-58), fueled by 25 assists on 39 made baskets and strong play in the paint, where they converted 80 percent of their two-point attempts. La Salle finished at 41.4% from the field and posted 15 assists but could not match the Revolutionaries' inside scoring or offensive flow.
