ROTC Preview at Davidson

Men's Basketball Battles Davidson On Sunday At Noon

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The La Salle men's basketball team (8-20, 4-11 A-10) travels to Davidson (17-11, 8-7 A-10) to continue Atlantic 10 play on Sunday at noon at John M. Belk Arena in Davidson, NC.

What's Up, Dock?

During A-10 play, redshirt sophomore guard Rob Dockery is averaging a team-high 14.1 points, a team-high 7.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and a team-high 1.8 steals per game while shooting a team-best 50% from the field. 

Against George Washington on Tuesday, Dockery recorded his fourth 20+ point performance of the season, finishing with 25 points, seven rebounds, and a career-high six steals in 34 minutes.

Dockery's six steals are the most in a single game for the Explorers this season. He tied for fourth in the A-10 with 45 steals and sixth with 1.6 steals per game.

Walker Continues To Impress

Freshman guard Ashton Walker continues his strong play during the final stretch of the regular season. Against George Washington, Walker finished with 13 points and six rebounds. He is averaging 13.5 points and 5.3 rebounds in his last four games.

Walker leads all A-10 freshmen in assists (86), assist-to-turnover ratio (1.8), and assists per game (3.1). 

On Monday afternoon, Walker was named Big 5 Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after recording his first career double-double.

Floor General

In league play, sophomore guard Jaden Johnson is second in the A-10 with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.0. He is also tied for fifth with 62 assists and ranks sixth with 4.1 assists per game in A-10 play. 

Over his last six games, Johnson is averaging 8.8 points and 4.8 assists. He tallied eight points, four rebounds, and four assists against George Washington on Tuesday.

Kastrat To Coach For Kosovo in FIBA U18 Tournament

La Salle men's basketball assistant coach and general manager Safet Kastrat will be an assistant coach on Kosovo's FIBA U18 team this summer. Kosovo will compete in Division C from July 21-26, 2026, at the U18 EuroBasket Tournament in Shkodra, Albania. The tournament serves as a qualifying event for the FIBA U17 and U19 Basketball World Cup.

Injury Bug

La Salle has had 126 games missed by 10 players this season, which is believed to be the third most in the nation, trailing Boston U and Binghamton. 

Starting Shuffle

Through 28 games, the Blue and Gold have rolled out 21 different starting lineups. 13 different players have started in a game this season. Only two players (Dockery and Johnson) have started in all 15 conference games. 

Walker is the only other player to appear in all 15 league games this season.

Only Charleston Southern is believed to have used more starting lineups this season, with 22 different starting combinations.

Harris Hits Century Mark For Games Played

Graduate student guard Truth Harris will be playing in his 100th career game today. Against George Washington, Harris recorded his second-highest point and assist total of the season, finishing with 13 points and five assists in the game.

Hart-felt Impact

In the win against Rhode Island, freshman forward Nas Hart had a key interior presence for the Explorers, scoring five points while hauling in a career-high 11 rebounds in 25 minutes of action. Hart has seen an uptick in minutes in the last two games, logging over 25 in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.

The Series

This is the 16th meeting between the programs. Davidson leads the series 11-4. La Salle earned a 79-76 victory in Philadelphia last season.

Scouting The Wildcats

Davidson enters the game allowing 67.8 points per game, ranking second in the A-10 and 37th in the nation in scoring defense. In their last game, the Wildcats earned a 67-56 road win at Duquesne.

Roberts Blums leads the team with 11.9 points per game and 61 3-pointers off the bench, while Parker Friedrichsen and Josh Scovens are nearly averaging 11 points per game.

The Wildcats are one of the premier 3-point shooting teams in the A-10, ranking third in the league and 30th in the nation by shooting 37.3% from downtown.

Next Up

La Salle will return to John E. Glaser Arena on Wednesday, March 4, for Senior Day against Fordham at 6:30 p.m. The Rams earned a 64-58 win in The Bronx earlier this season (Jan. 28).
