SAINT LOUIS, MO. – The La Salle men's basketball team (7-17, 3-8 A-10) dropped an 82-58 decision to Saint Louis (23-1, 11-0 A-10) in an Atlantic 10 Conference matchup at Chaifetz Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Redshirt sophomore guard Rob Dockery paced La Salle with 19 points and eight rebounds, converting 6-of-13 from the field and 7-of-9 from the free-throw line while playing a team-high 32 minutes. Graduate student forward Josiah Harris added eight points on 4-of-5 shooting and grabbed five boards off the bench.Â

Sophomore guard Jaden Johnson chipped in seven points, a team-best four assists and two steals as a starter.
La Salle started the game strong, taking an early 8-3Â lead after a layup from Jaeden Marshall. The Explorers remained competitive throughout the first half, tying the game four times and entering the break trailing just 31-27. Key contributions on the offensive glass and timely scoring kept the margin close against the Billikens.
The second half saw Saint Louis shift the momentum behind hot perimeter shooting, with Ishan Sharma hitting a three-pointer to extend the lead to double digits early in the period. La Salle struggled from beyond the arc, and the Billikens continued to pull away, capped by a fast-break three-pointer that pushed the deficit to 15 with just over seven minutes to play. Saint Louis maintained control down the stretch, outscoring the Explorers 51-31 in the final 20 minutes.
Despite the loss, La Salle outworked Saint Louis on the offensive boards, grabbing 15 offensive rebounds to just four for the Billikens. However, the Explorers were hampered by a 3-of-17 performance from three-point range and allowed 51 points after halftime. Saint Louis also benefited from a 30-17 edge in bench scoring, while the game featured two lead changes and four ties in the opening half.
