Grasonville, MD - The La Salle University women's golf team closed out The Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay with 12th place finish at Prospect Bay Country Club, finishing with a two-round total of 715 (+139).
Nina Okenkova led La Salle individually, placing tied for 45th after rounds of 87 and 85 for a +28 total.
Jewel Schaefer fired the second-lowest round of any Explorer on day two with an 86, as she finished 56th with a +32 total. Sydnie Leavery was the lone Explorer to go lower in the first round than the second round, shooting +38 total. Samantha Song, Hannah Gammons, and Sarah Doherty rounded on the Explorers' efforts in Grasonville, finishing +41, +45, and +60 respectively.
Tournament winner UPenn posted a 606 (+30), followed closely by Dartmouth.
La Salle will look to regroup at the YSU Spring Invitational, hosted by Youngstown State at Avalon Lakes Golf Club in Warren, OH, April 5-6.
