Babbage Earns All-Atlantic 10 Second Team Honors

Washington, DC – La Salle women's lacrosse goalkeeper and senior captain Mary Babbage was named to the 2026 All-Atlantic 10 Second Team on Wednesday afternoon after leading the conference in multiple statistical categories.

She becomes the first La Salle goalkeeper to be selected to one of the conference's all-league teams since Gabby Antonelli earned first-team honors in 2014.

Babbage finished her four-year career at La Salle with 377 saves, the fifth most in program history.

As of April 29, Babbage leads the A-10 and is ninth in the nation with 160 saves. She is also the league leader and ranks 10th in the country with 9.41 saves per game.

Babbage ended the regular season second in the conference in save percentage, stopping just over 45% of the opposition's shots on target. She made at least 10 saves in nine different games, including a season-high 15 at Monmouth on Feb. 11.

She was named the A-10 Defensive Player of the Week on Feb. 9, after making seven saves, collecting five ground balls, and recording three caused turnovers in the season-opening 17-3 home win over Delaware State.

Babbage also leads the A-10 and is 19th nationally with nearly 2.8 ground balls per game.

During conference play, Babbage led the league with nearly 2.6 ground balls per contest and ranked second with just under 10 saves per game.

Senior attacker Sam Klein, also a team captain, was one of 12 student-athletes across the league to earn a spot on the 2026 Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse All-Academic Team for her hard work in the classroom.

A communication major, Klein currently maintains a 4.0 cumulative GPA. She becomes the first player in the program to earn the honor since Katie Johnson in 2024.
