Philadelphia, PA – La Salle women's lacrosse head coach Kirkland Lewis announced the hiring of McKenzie Gaghan as assistant coach on Friday afternoon.
Gaghan joins the Explorers program after spending last season as an assistant coach at Florida State, where she was a member of the inaugural coaching staff and worked primarily with the goalkeepers.
"I am thrilled to have McKenzie join our staff. She brings NCAA championship experience, deep connections with top club programs, and experience building programs in elite conferences," Lewis said. "She will work closely with our goalies and defense, and I know the team will feel the value and knowledge she brings instantly."Â
As a goalkeeper herself, Gaghan spent her final two collegiate seasons at Florida Southern, posting a 17-5 overall record with 111 saves.
Gaghan spent her undergraduate career at East Stroudsburg from 2018-22. During her final season with the Warriors, she started 18 of 22 games, including the 2022 National Championship game against UIndy, where she recorded a career-high 14 saves.
