In last year's meet, the women's team finished in 13th place out of 15 teams, whereas the men were 11th place out of 13 teams.
Jorden Mentality
Jorden Gore will aim to become the first Explorer to win gold in the 100-meter event since Melissa Mastrangelo did it in 2005. Gore in her first year as an Explorer has set two program records this year in the 100m sprint, and was part of the winning 4x100m relay team at Penn Relays.
"Sean"-sational Performances
Seán Cronin has also had a statement debut outdoor season in the Blue and Gold. The 4/6-4/12 A-10 Performer of the Week owns the new program record in the outdoor 1500m event after going 3:40.26 to get third place in the event at the Duke Invitiational. At last week's Penn Relays, Cronin made a late surge to secure second place in the 1500m championship, finishing just .04 seconds behind the winner.
Scary "Good"e
