Track And Field Teams Race In A-10 Outdoor Championships

Fairfax, VA - La Salle track and field teams competed in the 2026 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships this past weekend at George Mason Stadium. Overall, the women's team finished in seventh with 47 points, while the men's team got 36 points to place ninth.

On Day 1, freshman Jacob Gardner placed fifth overall in the 3k steeple with a time of 9:11.68. For the women, senior Neve Moulai secured the women's team first medal with a third-place finish (time of 34:14.56) in the 9600-meter run, after confusion over the last lap in the originally planned 10k. Junior Helene Usher was one spot behind her, finishing in 34:16.98. To conclude the opening night, senior Charlie Hazlett got bronze by .003 of a second with a time of 32:01.887 in the 10k.

In the women's 100-meter dash, sophomore Jorden Gore got fifth with yet another sub-12 performance (11.99). Sophomore Adaugo Ilonze got fifth as well, earning it with her time of 24.91 in the 200-meter dash. Senior Lexy Rivard got sixth (4:33.2) in the 1500-meter final, and Moulai placed 15th in the 5k (17:38.75). Junior Gwenno Goode earned the women's second medal of the meet with a time of 10:08.08, her second win in that event in three years at the outdoor championships. Her sophomore teammate Gillian Lovett placed fourth in the same event (10:33.32).

For the men, freshman Sean Cronin got fourth in the 1500-meter run (4:04.74), whereas senior Chanel Muir placed fifth (4:06.18). Hazlett earned his second medal in the 5k, going 14:28.31 to get runner-up, as sophomore Dylan Stoneman, junior Bram van Druten, and Gardner went sixth, seventh, and eighth in the event. Relays concluded the championship meet, with the Penn Relays winning squad of Gore, Ilonze, sophomore Marionna Logan, and freshman Carleen Lionel getting fourth in the women's 4x100-meter event (47.01). La Salle women's 4x800-meter relay also finished fourth (8:57.43), comprised of Goode, Lovett, Rivard, and freshman Beca Bown.

La Salle track & field will continue their seasons with last chance, first at Army on Thursday at 1:30 pm in the West Point Twilight meet.
