Gabe Faust scored the second goal in as many games for the Explorers, but it wasn't enough, as FDU earned a 2-1 victory in La Salle's home opener on Monday night at McCarthy Stadium.
Trailing 1-0 at the half, Faust converted just one minute into the second half to even the score at 1-1.
The Explorers controlled the tempo for a majority of the second half, but the Knights scored the game-winning goal in the 72
nd minute to improve to 1-0-1 on the season, while the Blue and Gold falls to 1-1-0 on the year.

Kyrese Lynch-Bailey led the Explorers with three shots, while Faust, senior
Keiji Sugiura, and junior
Pedro Amadou had two shots apiece.
Next up, La Salle will host Keystone on Saturday night, with kick-off set for 6:00 pm at McCarthy Stadium.
