Philadelphia, PA – The La Salle men's soccer team earned their first clean sheet of the season in a 9-0 victory over Keystone on Saturday night, with six different goal scorers.
Junior Gabe Faust opened the scoring in the fifth minute with an assist from senior
Keiji Sugiura. Sugiuara joined in on the fun with a penalty kick goal a minute later, ending the night with a goal and two assists. Faust sandwiched Sugiura's lone goal with his second of the night, making it 3-0 before the 10th minute. An own goal from Keystone followed by senior
Kyrese Lynch-Bailey's second goal of the season, assisted by freshman
Sebastian Gubi, as well as the first of two goals this season from senior
Ismael Deme, the second of Sugiura's assist, made it 6-0 by halftime.
The Explorers opened the second half scoring with Deme's second goal of the night, with freshman
Ajahni Carter earning his first collegiate assist. Junior
Emmanuel Tamen recorded his first goal as an Explorer with an assist from sophomore
Davin Millisock, and graduate student
Mardig Alajajian secured the ninth and final goal with senior
Jonathan Daniel's first career assist.
The Explorers outshot the Giants 37-0 (24-0 shots on goal), with Sugiura recording a season-high 5 shots. Faust and Alajajian tied for three shots on goal apiece.
Keystone's three goalkeepers combined for 16 saves total.
The Explorers continue onto Easton, Pa. for a non-conference match-up with Lafayette at 7 pm. Tuesday night.
