Norristown, PA – Women's golf placed fourth out of eight teams in the Jefferson Invitational at Jeffersonville Golf Club, posting a team score of 151-over (719). 

Junior Bryn Sorge and Sophomore Jewel Schaefer led the Explorers, tying for seventh individually at 26-over 168 across the two rounds. Sorge opened with a 15-over 86 before improving to an 11-over 82 in the second round, with a 5-over 40 on the back nine. Schaefer opened with an 87, then carded the team's best round of the tournament, a 10-over 81. She tallied a 42 on the front nine and a 39 on the back in the second round and made three birdies over the two days. 

Freshman Dalia Izham came in next at 48-over 190. Izham made a major jump from round one to round two, cutting 16 strokes from a 103 to an 87. She opened the second round with a par on the first hole and posted a 44 on the front nine, followed by a 43 on the back. 

Sophomore Sarah Doherty rounded out the scoring lineup with a 51-over 193, shooting a 96 in round one and a 97 in round two. Her second-round front nine was a 47 (+11). 

The Explorers return to action at the Autumn Harvest at the Architects Golf Club in Lopatcong, NJ on September 28th & 29th.
