Leeza Burdgess earned her second straight Student-Athlete of the Week honor this week after being named the Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week for leading La Salle to a 2-1 showing.

Burdgess put together her best week of the season, averaging a double-double of 13.0 ppg and 13.3 rpg. She recorded three double-doubles in the prior four games, including two of the three last week. She blasted her previous career record by pulling down 19 rebounds against Binghamton in the title game of the Blue Sky Classic while scoring 14 points and going 10-for-13 from the free throw line, and was named to the Blue Sky Classic All-Tournament Team.

Burdgess added a game-high 15 points in overtime win over Rhode Island, and led the Explorers with a double-double of 10 points and 16 rebounds in rout of George Mason.
