PHILADELPHIA - Lacrosse goalie Megan Corliss has been named March's Athlete of the Month, as announced by the La Salle Office of Athletic Communications.
Corliss posted a goals against average of 9.61 and a save percentage of .535 in March and helped the Explorers to their best March finish ever, a 6-1 record.
In a 12-11 overtime win against Duquesne, Corliss broke the program record for career saves. She ended March with 413 career saves, one more than the previous program leader, Lianne Dictor (2001-03).
During the month, she was regularly ranked in the top 10 in Division I in saves and save percentage.
The Blue Bell, Pa. native also earned Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week honors twice in March.
