PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle cross country program finished up the season on Saturday, led by the Explorer women who finished third in the team standings at the ECAC Championship.
Caitlin Storbeck was the top Explorer on Saturday, taking 13th place individually in the championship race. She clocked a 17:53.6 in the 5K race.
Meghan Lutz finished 14th with an 18:01.7 and Stephanie Bearish was 15th with an 18:06.8.
Recent all-region honoree Meghan McGlinchey also posted a top 20 time, clocking an 18:18.3 for 20th overall.
Also in the championship race were: Michelle Capozzi (28th; 18:28.1), Wendy Hutchinson (33rd; 18:37.2), Alyssa Mullen (79th; 19:36.1), Colleen Boland (90th; 19:58.4), Jessica DiVenere (98th; 20:14.4), Karen Wojciechowski (99th; 20:14.9) and Nicole Schiavone (102nd; 20:30.0).
James Madison captured the ECAC title with William & Mary coming in second.
In the men's IC4A championship race, Joe Beveridge led a group of younger Explorers with a 41st place time of 25:53.6 in the 8K race. Nick Crits was the second Explorer, clocking a 26:14.8 for 62nd. Mike Bowden rounded out the top three with a 26:20.3 for 69th.
Also running were Vince Perozze (91st; 26:39.7), Ryan Topita (95th; 26:43.4), Nico Greco (100th; 26:45.7), Rob Ricketts (122nd; 27:06.0), Colin Barrett (123rd; 27:06.6), Sean Mallon (127th; 27:11.8), Matt Finn (143rd; 27:37.1), Luke Arbuckle (144th; 27:40.2) and Mike DeStefano (150th; 27:50.8).
The men finished 15th in the team standings. Duke won the title, followed by Duquesne and Harvard.
