PHILADELPHIA - Freshman forward Rob Friskey (King of Prussia, Pa./Penn Charter) was tabbed the Atlantic 10's Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Friskey picks up his first league honor following a game-winning performance last Tuesday against UMBC. He nailed home the winning tally with just 13 seconds remaining in regulation as the Explorers stunned the regionally 10th-ranked Retrievers.

Friskey has started all nine games so far in his rookie campaign and has tallied three points. In addition to his goal against UMBC, he recorded an assist earlier in the season against Iona.

Friskey and the rest of the Explorers are in the midst of a 10-day break. They begin Atlantic 10 play on Friday (10/7) at Dayton at 7:00 PM.
