PHILADELPHIA  - La Salle junior guard Alexis Scott was tabbed the Big 5 Player of the Week after helping the Explorers to a Big 5 win over Penn last week.

She was also voted La Salle's Student-Athlete of the Week.

Scott averaged 14.3 points in the Explorers' three contests last week. She chipped in 13 in the 58-47 win over Penn as the Explorers kept the Quakers winless all-time at Tom Gola Arena. She also averaged 15.0 points in two contests at the Courtyard LaGuardia Turkey Classic at Long Island University over Thanksgiving weekend. Scott came off the bench to score 16 points against Florida, a 2010 WNIT team, and adding 14 against host LIU, earning All-Tournament Team honors.

Scott currently leads the team in scoring with 12.3 points per game and chips in 3.9 rebounds per game.

The Explorers return to action on Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. contest at West Virginia.
