Macktoon, Quinn Named To CSC Academic All-District Team Ahead Of Super 16 Matchup At Army

West Point, NY - Ahead of their WNIT Super 16 Matchup at Army, Aryss Macktoon and Joan Quinn were each named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday. The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Scouting the Black Knights

Army defeated NJIT in the second round of the WNIT on Monday, 59-52. Junior forward Kya Smith dominated the paint in the contest, scoring 21 points while collecting 17 rebounds, with 9 on the offensive end. Camryn Tade and Reganne Reardon added 12 and 11 points respecteively.

The Bearcats are 25-7 on the season and fell to second-seeded Holy Cross in the Patriot League semifinals earlier this month.

Wednesday's matchup will mark the first meeting between the Explorers and the Black Knights.

Postseason Recognition

Ashleigh Connor and Aryss Macktoon were each named to the All-Conference Second Team, while Macktoon also earned Defensive Player of the Year honors, becoming the first player in La Salle women's basketball history to claim the award. The duo stood as the only pair in the conference to each average 15 points per game and as they each played a pivotal role in all of the Explorers' 19 wins this season.

Reaching the Century Mark

In Monday's win over Binghamton, Mountain MacGillivray reached 100 career wins, while Aryss Macktoon recorded her 99th and 100th steals of her season in the contest.

The Only One

This season, Aryss Macktoon is the only player in the nation to average her statline. Of all Division I players who recorded at least 100 steals this season (15 in the nation), she ranks 6th in scoring average (15.3), and 2nd in rebounding average (7.8).

A-10 Ashleigh

For the second straight season, Ashleigh Connor had a phenomonal time in Henrico. After hitting a buzzer-beater to top VCU in the first round last season, she averaged 17 PPG, 6 RPG, 6 APG, and 5 SPG in two contests this year at the Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship.

5 in the top 5

La Salle is the only team in the Atlantic 10 with a player in the top-five in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks per game. Ashleigh Connor ranks third in points (15.7) and second in assists (4.0). Aryss Macktoon ranks third in rebounds (7.7) and first in steals (3.2). Amiya Moses ranks fifth in blocks (1.3).

Power in Numbers

Four Explorers have scored in double figures eight times this season. The team is 6–2 in such games, with both losses coming against Saint Joseph's.
