PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle men's soccer program wrapped up its 2011 season with the annual end-of-the-year banquet on Sunday in La Salle's Dunleavy Room.

The crowd of about 100 student-athletes, families, friends and staff members were led in opening prayer by Br. John Kane, Director of Academic Services, before hearing some words from Athletic Director Dr. Tom Brennan. Each senior - Nick Dundon, John Gravelle, Dan Korenyi, Ryan Sepe and Jordan Torres - spoke to the attendees as well.

The annual team awards were handed out, with Dundon earning the team's Most Valuable Player award. Rob Friskey earned the Newcomer of the Year Award, and the team's commitment to academic excellence was shown by awarding three players the Bill Wilkinson Academic Achievement Award. Jim Clark, John Gravelle and Rob McIntyre were each awarded the academic award.

Coaches Pat Farrell, Bob Wilkinson, Brian Blesi and Andrew Bernhard would like to thank all the families and supporters who were in attendance at Sunday's banquet and thank everyone who supports the team throughout the year.
