PHILADELPHIA - The Explorers trailed the Dragons early and couldn't recover, falling 18-4 at Drexel's Vidas Field on Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore Melanie Sarcinello chipped in two goals in the loss, while sophomore Lauren McDermott and freshman Katie Marasco each had one.
McDermott also picked up three ground balls for La Salle. Sophomore Sara Ciaverelli controlled three draws.
The Dragons jumped out to a 7-0 lead with just over ten minutes gone in game.
La Salle struggled to win the draws in the first half, taking five to Drexel's nine. The Dragons took advantage, scoring several of their goals by taking the ball right to the net after the draw.
Sarcinello put the Explorers on the board off a feed from junior Nora McGurkin with 19:03 to play in the first.
Sarcinello would add another score on a free position attempt at the 14:26 mark to make the tally 8-2 in favor of Drexel.
La Salle trailed 12-2 at the break. Marasco and McDermott each added their goals in the last two minutes of the contest.
Kelli Jordan led Drexel with four goals and one assist. Jaclyn Klunder added four assists.
La Salle will return home to face Cal on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m.
