The Explorers trailed by as many as six in the second half, but rallied to close the gap to two at 10-8 with 5:46 remaining after a goal by Danielle Horn off a feed from Nora McGurkin.

Horn knotted up the game at 4-all with 10:30 left in the first.

Stephanie Markunas and Stephany Marcel would add goals for Temple to make the score 6-4 at the break.
