PHILADELPHIA - La Salle Men's Soccer Head Coach Pat Farrell has announced the schedule for the fall 2011 season.
The Explorers open the 2011 campaign with a trip to Big East foe Rutgers on Aug. 26, followed by the home opener against Soccer Six foe Penn on Sept. 2.
Also featured in the fall slate is a trip to the Lafayette Tournament, where the Explorers will take on Iona and the host Lafayette in mid-September. They also make a trip to West Point on Sept. 17 for a Saturday night contest against Army.
The Explorers will look to make another run through the Atlantic 10 when they open conference play at Dayton on Oct. 7. Following a contest at Xavier on Oct. 9, they return to McCarthy Stadium for a four-game homestand that will also include the annual Senior Day celebration.
The team concludes the regular season on the road, taking on Fordham and then local rivals Temple and Saint Joseph's in the final weekend.
The 2011 Atlantic 10 Championship is slated for Nov. 10-13 at Saint Louis University.
