PHILADELPHIA – The field hockey regular season will come to a close this weekend when La Salle visits Saint Louis on Friday and hosts #16 Richmond on Sunday.
Scouting the Explorers
The Explorers will likely need to win both games this weekend to advance to the Atlantic 10 Championship, hosted next week at UMass. La Salle is currently in a three-way tie for fourth place at 2-3 in the league with VCU and Lock Haven. LU owns the tiebreaker over Lock Haven but VCU holds the advantage over La Salle.
A 1-1 weekend by the Explorers would require VCU to lose both games to Saint Joseph's and Saint Louis and Lock Haven to lose at least one game.
